I'm not really sure if "gift" is the right word for it, but my partner's mom and grandma moved in together so we could move into my partner's grandma's apartment.
2. What was the worst gift you received?
Hmm...maybe note the worst, but when I was younger, and getting all into music subcultures and stuff, my mom got me a hoodie I think she found at Walmart. It was black and small and stretchy, as was the style of the time, but it had these two guitars on either side of the zipper. They might have been on fire--I can't remember. It wasn't actually a bad gift, though to me at the time it probably seemed like the worst. It makes me kinda sad to think about though because I'm sure my mom was really excited to find it--she knew I was getting into music and I liked small, stretchy, black hoodies, and hey, guitars! But my insecure and desperate-to-be-cool teen self couldn't even conceive of wearing it.
3. What gift did you wish for, but never got?
Can't think of anything!
4. What was the best present you gave?
I've made my partner some cool presents (comics, felted critters, etc.), but I want to say the tickets my brother and I got our parents to see one of their favorite bands from back in the day. The seats were way up front, the singer came and chatted with them before the show, and they just had an awesome time. It was great to see them having so much fun.
5. What was the worst present you gave?
Oh god, lots of last-minute emailed gift cards...
