The friday 5 for April 23, 2021
1) Where's your favorite place to go connect with nature?
2) What's a disposable thing that you've found a use for?
3) Where does your community need de-trashed?
4) What's your favorite flower?
5) What positive change do you wish we'd all make?
Copy and paste to your own journal, then reply to this post with a link to your answers. If your journal is private or friends-only, you can post your full answers in the comments below.
If you'd like to suggest questions for a future Friday Five, then do so on DreamWidth or LiveJournal. Old sets that were used have been deleted, so we encourage you to suggest some more!
**Remember that we rely on you, our members, to help keep the community going. Also, please remember to play nice. We are all here to answer the questions and have fun each week. We repost the questions exactly as the original posters submitted them and request that all questions be checked for spelling and grammatical errors before they're submitted. Comments re: the spelling and grammatical nature of the questions are not necessary. Honestly, any hostile, rude, petty, or unnecessary comments need not be posted, either.**

1) Where's your favorite place to go connect with nature? Actually, my back yard. A chair underneath the trees, in the shade, the scent of mown grass and flowers, and odd birdsong... simple, but I like it.
2) What's a disposable thing that you've found a use for? Little things I know, and we do try not to buy disposable stuff these days, but plastic bags (that stuff like bread comes in) and bubblewrap gets reused as much and as often as possible, and I've been using the same plastic water bottle since we needed to buy some at a concert couple of years ago.
3) Where does your community need de-trashed? I think it's pretty good here, the rubbish is separated into general/recycle/greenwaste, the local recycle plants are easy to get to and take a lot of stuff, big items and all... and 'tidy town' is a competition that local government takes very seriously :)
All communities could do better, of course. That's a given.
4) What's your favorite flower? Daffodils. Alwats have been, probably always will be.
5) What positive change do you wish we'd all make? I'm with Huxley, who said, "It is a bit embarrassing to have been concerned with the human problem all one's life and find at the end that one has no more to offer by way of advice than 'try to be a little kinder'."
