1. Have you seen a solar eclipse? Total, Partial, Annular? When and where? I got to see an annular eclipse from my front porch back in October. My husband and I watched with eclipse glasses while the neighbors also stepped out to watch, and it was really cool seeing how everything around us looked kind of orange and dim for a while. I didn't see the recent one as it was cloudy, and it would have been partial in my area. We also had a partial eclipse in 2017 that I stepped out to watch when I was at work. Back when I was in fifth grade, there was supposed to be a total eclipse and people were getting excited, and my teacher made a cardboard box so we could watch the reflection... then it was cloudy AF that day and we couldn't see a thing.
2. Have you seen a lunar eclipse? Full? Partial? When and where? Several years ago, I did see a lunar eclipse, stepping outside from my apartment. I actually can't remember if it was total or partial. I tried to take a picture, but my phone camera wasn't good enough at the time.
3. Have you seen a comet? Which one? When and where? I'm having a hard time remembering. I've seen shooting stars, and I think I might have seen the Hale-Bopp comet back when I was in middle school...?
4. Have you seen a nova or supernova? When and where? Don't recall. I don't think so.
5. Have you seen a meteor shower? Which one, when and where? I've seen a few. The one that stands out most in my memory was the Leonids shower during my freshman year of college with a group of friends. We drove out to a remote spot in the desert to get a really good star view.
