1) Who are you appreciating in your life right now?
Sis, because without her I would eat much less well (and far more err... raw?) and have to keep this house on my own (okay, probably move). The good folk at my little writing groups, because their help and support makes me love writing all the more. My tutors, who are all fair and sometimes critical but also supportive of this rather-older-and-scattier-than-most student they have gotten...

2) What's something you've done this year that other people appreciated
Ummm. Well, I do try to help and support the good folk above, I hope they appreciate that :) And the couple of invalid friends I try and visit as often as possible, even when I really don't want to (and for the one, don't think she even realises... but her husband knows that Sis and I still come!)

3) What's a good way to show gratitude?
I like to give flowers or little presents, of course I ring or email. Several of my sisters who can cook do that, make a slice or such and give it...

4) Do you write thank you notes?
If it's something big, otherwise the call or email as above. Thank you notes are a good way to use up the excess pretty stationery I have been given over the years, in these days when letters are few...

5) What can you use help with these days?
Anything that involves manual labour (dodgy limbs), or of course cooking. Transport isn't a problem but might when I'm older (I do try to remember who I know goes to some of the things I do and might like the offer of a lift).

1) Who are you appreciating in your life right now?
Hubby & Daughter & Father - they are my anchors. And my girlfriends: Christine, Joy, Barb & Mary - they are my sounding boards and listen to my ramblings

2) What's something you've done this year that other people appreciated
amy's house project - gutting SIL's house down to studs and rebuilding it

3) What's a good way to show gratitude?
A heartfelt 'Thank You', flowers, little presents, a phone call or test or email...

4) Do you write thank you notes?
If it's something big, otherwise a call, text or email.

5) What can you use help with these days?
Organizing paperwork...
