1. Of the various cultures, ethnicities or nationalities you belong to, which most strongly do you consider yourself?
2. Is there a culture you cannot claim heritage from but which you feel quite close to?
3. What's one language you wish you knew fluently?
4. If you could move anywhere in the world and be guaranteed a job, etc., where would you go?
5. If you had a time machine, and could witness any one event without altering or disturbing it, what would you want to see?

1. Of the various cultures, ethnicities or nationalities you belong to, which most strongly do you consider yourself?
I call myself Anglo-Australian, which pretty much sums it up...
2. Is there a culture you cannot claim heritage from but which you feel quite close to?
Not really, though several smallish European countries I have a fascination for their histories and heritage. But that could just be my fascination for history and heritage in general.
3. What's one language you wish you knew fluently?
At the minute Japanese, because of my love for figure skating and mostly Japanese skaters :) There's also Chinese (the dramas) but I would really love to be able to follow the former on social media and read /listen to the Japanese articles and programs on their skaters, some are translated but not enough.
4. If you could move anywhere in the world and be guaranteed a job, etc., where would you go?
Ummm... I don't want a job any more thank you very much. Change it to 'an income that means I can live in lots of comfort' and I would like one of the nicest parts of either the Australian coastline, or a totally picturesque (and therefore hideously expensive, see above) village in the UK or Ireland. I could spend months in each, and home, and then swap around (because people tend to matter more to me than places, and the people are here.)
5. If you had a time machine, and could witness any one event without altering or disturbing it, what would you want to see?
I'm tempted by a ball at the height of the Regency :) Just to see how it compares to the ones Georgette Heyer wrote so splendidly.
