1 ...things you can't live without.
(Excluding the obvious like air and food, I guess) My external hard drive, the Muddle and Go Nowhere. My Memorandum Book. Pens to write in the Memorandum Book. Coffee. Music.

2 ...of the best moments in your life.
My first graduation. Seeing the Sainte-Chapelle for the first time. The B7 convention that I went to years ago as part of a trip to the UK. A family wedding where most of the family made it from all over. The first Open Mic that I actually got up and read a piece.

3 ...celebrities you can't stand.
Can't name five because I wouldn't know most self-proclaimed celebrities if I fell over them, and even if I do encounter them on TV or media, forget them pretty much immediately. So the last five I forgot?

4 ...books you enjoy(ed) reading.
Umm, some recent ones would be Miss Buncle's Book by D E Stevenson, The Godless by Paul Doherty, Dark Tales (a short story collection) by Shirley Jackson, Tudor Folk Tales by Dave Tonge and Christopher Bram's The Art of History.

5 ...items in your purse/backpack/on your desk.
Purse? (I have a nag rather than backpack) Drivers' licence, credit card, library card, student ID - yes, I had to get one even though I study online - and some cash, because some shops do have a surcharge for cards and anyway, I like having some on hand.

I (re)read Dark Tales recently, too. I love Shirley Jackson.

I had a really hard time coming up with five celebrities, too. My most common reaction to gossip columns is, “Who?”

Shirley Jackson may be best known for The Lottery and The Haunting of Hill House but there are so many other great ones...

I'm slowly working my way through her whole catalog. So much to love! Have you had a chance to read any of her comedic work yet?
