1) What was the first recipe or food you learned how to cook? I am lucky enough to have a mom who cooked, and who enjoyed having me in the kitchen with her. So I can't remember the very first thing, but some of my early cooking memories include making bread and making Jell-O.
2) What recipe or food did you cook most recently? I use my Instant Pot a lot in warm weather, because it doesn't heat up the house and I can do other things while it works. I made pork tenderloin on Monday night, in an Asian-spices-influenced way. I tend to wing it a lot in the kitchen. This was good both the night of and as leftover the next couple days.
3) What recipe or food do you cook most often? I make a lot of things with eggs. I love eggs as a protein source because they're cheap and healthy; I have the added plus that a coworker has 18 chickens and brings eggs in every couple of weeks, so I have access to really good free range eggs. A simple weeknight supper is fried eggs and whatever else I can find in the fridge.
4) What is your favorite recipe? My mom's Chicken Divan.
5) What is the recipe you make that impresses other people the most? My crab puffs, which everyone always wants me to make for special occasions. Choux paste is no laughing matter, though, and I will only make them if the weather is cool, because they're hard work!
