The Friday Five for 8 December 2017: Getting Political
This set of questions was composed by me after participating in a Net Neutrality protest Thursday evening. For those who don’t know, the United States Federal Communications Commission will vote next week on a measure that would allow internet carriers to speed up, slow down, censor, charge extra for, or whatever else they want to do to individual websites. I think that should not be allowed, hence the protest.
1) Have you ever written a letter to the editor of your local newspaper?
2) Have you ever called one of your elected officials to tell them your views on an issue important to you?
3) Have you ever testified during the citizen speak-out portion of a local government meeting?
4) Have you ever participated in a protest or demonstration?
5) If so, were you arrested for doing so?
