1. Do you believe in fate?
Not really. I lean more towards believing that what happens is based on the decisions we make; i.e. "Sliding Doors."

2. If Karma was to visit you now, would it be kind or kick you in the butt?
Probably neither; I try to be the best person that I can be and help others, but I tend to be pretty judgmental (I am working on it.)

3. Do you believe you have lived another life previous to this one?
No. For me personally, there is no evidence.

4. What do you believe in with an unshakable resolve?
That, the only thing you know for sure that you have is this one life here on Earth. I think that you should make the most of it by making an effort to be your best self. To some degree or another, everyone had a crappy childhood (some much worse than others,) but you cannot let that ruin the rest of your life. Make the choice to be happy.

5. What one factor influences your life the most?
Meeting and marrying my husband completely changed the direction of my life in a good way.

Rock on. I don't know where the time has gone. It seems as if we just got married yesterday.

I know, it is so strange: in one sense, it seems like yesterday, but at the same time, I cannot remember a time when he was not there...

Same here. I started dating him when I was 17 a year out of high school. That's what makes it so special and yet do scary at the same time.

Yep, I was 18 and we got married when I was 20 (he is 5 years older.) For some people, being with someone from such a young age does not work, but for us, we have been able to kind of grow up and experience new things together through the years. It helps that we have always been able to talk about anything with the other. When people ask what the secret of a happy long term marriage is, I always tell them that you need to really like the other person. Passion is cyclical and can be effected by stresses in your everyday life, but if you can talk and want to talk, you will be ok.

There's six years between us, but you are right. I was told I was much too young (despite the fact that I was older than both my mum and sister when they got married). He was and still is my best friends. We share so many things in common that it makes it so much easier than if we didn't.

I think it's also a willingness to compromise. it's not always one person's way. exercising a bit of give and take and being able to talk about anything really are the keys to a long marriage. Both my brother and sister celebrated 50 years before losing their partners to death. I'm hoping to best that record.
