1. Have you ever been in a hurricane or typhoon? Which one, when and where? Hurricane Fredrick 1979 was my first that I remember. Fran and Floyd were major ones I remember dealing with heavily. And last child was born during Isabel.
2. Have you ever been near an erupting volcano? Which one, when and where? NOPE! And honestly, do not want.
3. Are there tornadoes where you live? Has a tornado come near you? I have only lived outside of Tornado Alley once in my life... and they had wind advisories near daily during some months anyway. I have literally been near enough to one to see it while in a car, close enough to hear one that wrecked the Clarksville Courthouse, and felt the pressure bumps as one crossed over our house and wrecked the one across the street.
4. Have you experienced severe flooding? When and where? Dealing with Floyd. Dealing with hurricane Andrew's aftermath. Hurricanes bring floods, even in the middle of a drought... maybe especially then because the dirt just won't soak the rain.
5. What is the most extreme weather you have ever experienced? Probably the hurricanes. As slowly freezing to death due to working in 15 degree weather is not so much extreme as OMFG, why didn't I take breaks inside.
