> 1. How's your health this week?

No complaints. In general it's quite good.

> 2. What's the healthiest thing you've done recently?

Hmm... depends somewhat on the definition of "recently"... well, I went for 20 mile walk on Monday, that probably counts.

> 3. What do you look for in a doctor?

Someone who will consult with me, take me seriously about what I think is amiss with me and what I think should be done about it, but contribute her medically-trained expert insights

> 4. What was your most memorable childhood illness?

Ugh. Tonsillitis. I got my tonsils snipped out in a hospital when I was 5. Actual ether for the anaesthetic, I remember being gassed.

> 5. What's your most interesting scar and how did you get it?

I have several round hairless places on my knees and one on my arm, all from wiping out on bicycles and skidding across the asphalt (leaving skin behind) when I was a kid.

1. How's your health this week?

Better, I have been really suffering with allergies since March, coupled with worry about COVID, but have finally started feeling better in the last few weeks.

2. What's the healthiest thing you've done recently?

I swam a mile yesterday morning.

3. What do you look for in a doctor?

Someone that wants to look for non-traditional answers and not just write a prescription. I am 52, in relatively good health and very active. I don't want to hear, "Oh, you are just getting older, take this pill..."

4. What was your most memorable childhood illness?

I do not remember much, but I turned a pot of porridge onto my right arm when I was a toddler and had terrible burns.

5. What's your most interesting scar and how did you get it?

The only scars I have from the burn are on my right ring finger, but they are probably it.

1. How’s your health this week?
I messed up my knee again. (I sprained it last year, and it’s never been right since.) This time is a lot worse than usual though, with lots of pain and swelling.

2. What’s the healthiest thing you’ve done recently?
Does cleaning up a lot of the dirt and dust in my room count?

3. What do you look for in a doctor?
Someone who is preferably female, listens to me, doesn’t interrupt me— Overall, just someone who is a decent person, I guess. Bonus points if I already know them.

4. What was your most memorable childhood illness?
I have no idea, honestly.

5. What’s your most interesting scar and how did you get it?
It’s faded now, but for the longest time, I had a friction burn scar on my butt from when I was a kid. The top half of it looked like Tennessee while the bottom half looked like Florida.

1. How's your health this week? Not perfect - the touch of arthritis always plays up when it's cold and wet - but hey, given the state of so many people worldwide, I am not really gonna complain. Much. Okay, not too... much.

2. What's the healthiest thing you've done recently? Followed the social isolating rules. And been careful to eat reasonably healthy while doing so (we are determinedly not bringing junk food into the house, so we can't be tempted and eat it. Well okay, there is a half-pack of frozen choc chips in the freezer... I am equally determinedly trying to forget about)

3. What do you look for in a doctor? Someone who listens, even when I'm worrying over nothing, and doesn't make me feel like they think I'm being silly. I go to a local 'family' surgery and my regular doctor, and the one I see if he's not available, both do that.

4. What was your most memorable childhood illness? I don't recall most of them… but I did have chicken pox when a young teenager, very mild, just a few spots and didn't feel sick at all. I recall it well because my brother caught it just a bit later and was totally spotty and sick on his 21st birthday. Took a while for him to stop scowling at me and anyone else who it might have come from for that...

5. What's your most interesting scar and how did you get it? Probably the tiny one above my nose, which I did by falling over in the cemetery. Or the scar where I sliced a lump out of my thumb playing slidies as a child in the hall and not stopping for the glass door pane. Or the still bisected fingernail which I don't recall doing, but was told toddler me managed by sticking her tiny hand under Dad's knife he was using one day... Longways.

I have less accidents these days, and never had really bad ones (touch wood) but they tend to be... different.
