[personal profile] ariestess posting in [community profile] thefridayfive
Many apologies for the lateness of this Friday Five. RL has been kinda kicking my butt lately...

This week's questions are brought to you courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] sparklesalad, the letter F, and the number 5...

Five Creative Ways to Kill Time...
  1. At work

  2. Waiting in line

  3. Riding in a car/public transportation/etc.

  4. Waiting for your date (this can be anyone you are meeting) to arrive

  5. At the airport waiting for your delayed flight to arrive

  6. (sic)

Copy and paste to your own journal, then reply to this post with a link to your answers.

If you'd like to suggest questions for a future Friday Five, then do so on DW or LJ.
Old sets that were used have been deleted, so please feel free to suggest some more!

**Remember that we rely on you, our members, to help keep the community going. Also, please remember to play nice. We are all here to answer the questions and have fun each week.
We repost the questions exactly as the original posters submitted them and request that all questions be checked for spelling and grammatical errors before they're submitted.
Comments re: the spelling and grammatical nature of the questions are not necessary.**

Honestly, any hostile, rude, petty, or unnecessary comments need not be posted, either.

my journal is flocked so...

FIVE CREATIVE WAYS TO KILL TIME...

At work:
i work at home. as a mom. so i don't HAVE any time to kill. LOL but i kill naptime with reading, playing harvest moon, or email/journaling.

Waiting in line:
the only place i ever wait in line anymore is at the grocery store and i spend the whole time staring at the various magazines and trying to figure out if i have enough time to read any of them before the person in front of me is done checking out. if i don't, i kill time by being philosophical about why our society cares so much about celebrities' personal lives. *grin* true story; this is my thought pattern EVERY. TIME.

Riding in a car/public transportation/etc.:
i LOVE to listen to music and then stare out the window and pretend my eyes are video cameras and i'm making a music video to the music. i'll focus on some objects and let others blur by...now that i mention it, it seems very odd and not even remotely entertaining so there must be a LOT more going on in my brain when i'm doing it because i do it all the time!

Waiting for your date (this can be anyone you are meeting) to arrive:
i always bring a book with me when i have to meet someone because i'm always early (i'd rather be found than have to find someone else). half the time, i'm too jittery and excited to read it though, so i kill time by watching for whoever it is i'm supposed to be meeting.

At the airport waiting for your delayed flight to arrive
read. or text. or people-watch. in that order.

My journal is Friends only, so here ya go:
Five Creative Ways to Kill Time...
At work

If I finished everything that I needed to do, I'll check out my IJ & DW, Facebook, and Tumblr. I also like to google things that are currently on my mind.

Waiting in line
I tend to just stare off into space or if it is a really long line, I may play WordFeud and check Facebook on my phone.

Riding in a car/public transportation/etc.
I'll stare out the window if I'm not driving, or make conversation with the driver (I don't use public transit; doesn't really work well wehre I live).

Waiting for your date (this can be anyone you are meeting) to arrive
Look at a phone, look around area that I'm at, study any interesting art pieces or architecture.

At the airport waiting for your delayed flight to arrive
I've been on a plane once, so this isn't really applicable to me.
