1. How many hours a day/night do you usually sleep? Varies a bit, I normally go to bed around 11 (sometimes earlier, sometimes later), and get up at 6 (I could start sleeping later now I'm not working, yes, but for the most part my body clock hasn't gotten the message). So seven to seven and a half?

2. What do you do when you can't sleep? I think up stories/fanfic etc in my head till I drift off. From what I recall the next morning, it's never good, and I never recall enough to write down and use, but hey, it's nice, it keeps the middle of the night frets and monsters away and it's probably good for the imagination anyway.

Mind you, it's very rare that I can't sleep, I have to be in serious pain (and I am a big fan of the good painkillers at those times anyway....). Even emotional/real life problems and unhappiness doesn't usually keep me awake. Several of my more insomniac Nearest and Dearest get very tetchy when I mention this... can't think why.

3. How often do you devote time to just thinking about something? Probably too much, but I get round that by calling it brainstorming {g}

4. If you had to choose one person to never talk to again, who would you choose? Ooooh, hard. Probably none of the people currently in my life, but there have over the years been several now-ex-workmates who aggravated me at times by just being their annoying selves, and I know that were I to see them round about town my heart would leap down and I'd want to duck into the nearest doorway to avoid them. So one of them (can't even recall most of their names, just their aggravation factors) would be it.

5. If you had to choose one person, NOT your significant other, who you would speak to every day for the rest of your life, who would you choose? I take it Sis, who lives with me, doesn't count? I would really want someone who knows when to keep it short and sweet, when loooong gossipy sessions (which are not my thing anyway) are best left to emails or something. There are a couple of friends I have like that, and one in particular I talk to by phone most days, so I'd choose her.

Or the old guy down the road. I don't even know his name but we chat every time I pass by, and he's lovely :)
