Date: 2022-07-23 06:37 am (UTC)It's pretty much a tie between our dining room table (which now doubles as our desk space!) and the top surface of my file cabinet in my bedroom.
2) What's your method for decluttering?
Umm, I don't have a method for decluttering. That's the problem.
3) What are your favorite cleaning products?
Dawn dishwashing detergent and Chore Boy golden fleece scrubbies
4) What helps get you motivated to clean up?
Clean up or decluttering? Utterly different processes for me. I will cheerfully jump on dirty dishes or grungy floors. Decluttering involves figuring out what isn't where it oughta be and where it oughta be instead and I'm not good at that. Lots of things don't seem to have their own Oughta Be spaces.
5) What's the most organized spot in your home?
Probably the basement larder, to be honest.

-------------------------------------------------------------
My bedroom closet. I bought two closet organizers that you hang and put clothes in. I thought it would make my closet seem more organized, empty, compact. But really those organizers left no room in my closet. I have luggage, shoes, bags, books in there too. So basically I'm deluded thinking I could have a minimalist closet, when I really just keep filling it.
2) What's your method for decluttering?
-------------------------------------------------
This is the answer to number one. The key for me is to throw things away and keep less items/object/stuff. I did a lot of that last year with furniture, and I do still have things I shouldn't have or need that will be throw away.
3) What are your favorite cleaning products?
---------------------------------------------------------
I like 409 cleaners or all purpose cleaners, or anything that comes in a bottle like that. I am interested in products that have less chemicals. I don't know what they're called "organic" "natural" "vegan" cleaning products. I've seen them in stores especially with dishwashing soap.
4) What helps get you motivated to clean up?
---------------------------------------------------------
RIght now, I could be moving to a new city/place within two years, that helps me clean better harder, where I'm living at. Leaving the apartment/house you once lived in, and making sure it's beautifully cleaned before leaving. Grab my things and go. I don't know if that makes sense, but true for me.
5) What's the most organized spot in your home?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Kitchen. I think the kitchen is the heart of the house if that can't be kept organized/clean then all is lost - I never want to get to a point where I leave debri/food particles on the floor dirty fridge dirty walls- disorgazation etc- it would mean that a part of me stopped caring. That's why the kitchen is top notch.
