1. How's your winter going so far? Not too bad. Cold and wetter than usual here, and I unfortunately developed a couple of chilblains {muttergrumble} but it's warm inside and we manage.

2. Have you made any special winter plans? Not really, either than to stay where it's warm inside.

3. What are your traditional activities in winter? Staying inside where it's... you get the idea :)

4. Are there special winter foods or drinks you're enjoying? Sis does have some recipes that suit the cold whether better - toad in the hole with apple, a wonderful German and tomato chicken, old-fashioned macaroni cheese, casseroles, bangers and mash... and when it's vegetarian day, oven-roast vegetables with sauce. Not fancy okay, but all yummy.

5. What is one thing you need to do this winter? Talk myself into going outside where it is not warm.

I'm even later to the party. It is summer here so I'll answer for summer.

1. How's your summer (winter) going so far?

Pretty good so far. Attended a Renaissance Faire in VA, a Celtic Festival in NC, a Wedding in PA and attended my OWL Weekend (Outdoor Women's Life) camping weekend with my daughter. Have also had friends over for BBQs, have attended BBQs & a pool party. And Saturday lunches at restaurants with outdoor patios either where SIL bartends or at a restaurant on the dock overlooking the river.

2. Have you made any special summer (winter) plans?

More road trip weekends & Friday day plans as hubby started a new job which means no week-long vacations this summer as he doesn't have any leave time yet. However my work is letting employees do 4-day weeks with taking vacation days every Friday this summer for 9 weeks. This is working out well with all the vacation time I have accumulated. And rainy & bad AQI Fridays I've run errands, grocery shopped, or gotten caught up on chores.

3. What are your traditional activities in summer (winter)?

Visiting relatives out of state, road trips, going to the beach, pool, camping, kayaking, lunches on outdoor patios, BBQs, a week vacation, etc.

4. Are there special summer (winter) foods or drinks you're enjoying?

Seagram Escapes in the fruit flavors, BBQ meats, corn on the cob, salads and fresh fruits.

5. What is one thing you need to do this summer (winter)?

Two things are still on my to do list:
  • Kayaking - Haven't been out yet because weekends that we haven't been out of town it has been cold, rainy or bad AQI (Air Quality Index) days in the UNHEALTHY range due to smoke from the Forest Fires raging across Canada.
  • Beach - since we aren't taking a week vacation at the beach I wanna plan a weekend or day trip to the beach.
