Here's mine:

1. In what ways do you expect/hope this year to be better than last year?
I'm hoping it is a happier year for our daughter, a very productive year for me and my husband getting many DIY projects completed, including helping SIL with her house, and I'm also hoping it is a physically healthy year for all of us.

2. In what ways do you expect/hope this year to be worse than last year?
I don't expect it to be worse than the end of last year. But I do expect my mom's Alzheimers to continue to worsen, and her dementia to keep increasing.

3. What year would you travel back to if you could?
If I could go back and forth I think the 12 months from end of Feb 2000 thru Feb 2001 was a great 12 month period. I met my husband in 1999, we moved in together in February 2000 and traveled a lot together over the next 12 months. Dual income, pre-mortgage, pre-kid, dirt cheap flights was a great combination.

So many weekends we'd just travel. We flew or drove so many places. We visited a dozen different Renaissance Faires & Celtic festivals: MDRF, PARF, NYRF, NCRF, TNRF, Sterling NY RF, NJRF, Ontario RF, OHRF, Southern MD Celtic Fest, Alexandria VA Celtic Fest, and the Potomac Celtic Festival. So many weekend trips away: Nashville, TN; Raleigh, NC; Upstate New York; Central Pennsylvania; Columbus, OH: Daytona Beach, Sarasota & Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Buffalo, NY; Toronto, Canada; Bryce, VA; Phoenix, AZ: etc. We also took a week long vacation to Scotland, a ski vacation and a week trip to Barcelona, Spain - all those adventures over a 12 month period of time.

4. What was your worst year?
1988 was hard. I had split from my ex-fiance the end of 1987. So the beginning of 1988 was a new apt in a new town, with a new job, making new friends, many a first date, etc. So much change and upheaval in my young life then.

5. What was your best year?
2001 and 2002 were awesome. Got married October 2001, graduated with my BS degree Dec 2001, bought our house March 2002, and our daughter was born December 2002.

Then again 2013 was pretty good. Got my current job, and we bought our Beach House that year and spent Christmas at the Beach with a wind chill of 87F.

But I think my best years are yet to come. I'm so much happier and more content with my life the older I get and I just love time to travel and time spent with friends and family but at a slower, less hectic pace than when I was younger.
