Date: 2024-01-27 03:03 am (UTC)1. Do you cook regularly or does someone else cook for you?
I live alone, so of course I cook for me. I don't mind, most of the time.
2. Which are you better at making: sweet or savory foods?
Both!
3. If you had to work as a chef in a restaurant of your choice, which restaurant would best complement your current culinary skills?
All breakfast, all day. And great coffee. I mean, I can cook anything but I like making breakfast the most.
4. What is a cooking tip that you know, but other people generally aren’t aware of?
It's easier to slice flank steak super thin for stir-fry if it's partially frozen first, and use a big sharp cleaver, not a knife. The cleaver makes better cuts.
5. Do you have a recipe you would like to share?

Date: 2024-01-27 12:12 pm (UTC)I cook most days.
2. Which are you better at making: sweet or savoury foods?
Savoury definitely.
3. If you had to work as a chef in a restaurant of your choice, which restaurant would best complement your current culinary skills?
My cooking skills aren't that great but I'd work in a vegetarian cafe.
4. What is a cooking tip that you know, but other people generally aren’t aware of?
Not a tip as such but with working in care for years one is to season all potatoes (chips, roasties, mash etc), and for hot drinks always warm the cup first with hot water then make your drink (keeps tea hot for longer)
5. Do you have a recipe you would like to share?
One of my favourites to make is mushroom and leek spaghetti. I've given the original version and my adapted version of this to a lot of people.
