2. Do you speak any other languages? Which ones?
I do! English and a bit of Japanese and Korean.
3. How difficult is it for you to learn or understand new languages?
Fairly easy, although I am too used to Asian languages.
4. If you were going to study a new foreign language, which would you want to learn?
I’ve actually been contemplating learning Italian 🙂 and I’m also still curious about Swedish.
5. How are you at reading subtitles in foreign films?
I actually love subtitles. Since I like watching films in their original language, I use English subtitles. But even when I’m watching something in English or even Spanish, I turn on the subtitles since it’s more accessible for me.

2. Do you speak any other languages? Which ones?
A smidge of Welsh. Technically bits of French and German from school lessons last century, but I doubt I can do a meaningful sentence any more, and not just because knowing how to say "I go to a school with 180 pupils" is no longer relevant. Beyond that if we are honest, does BASIC count as a language because I still have a formal education in that... it's the only language where I know the grammar!
3. How difficult is it for you to learn or understand new languages?
Impossible now I feel, because I do not have the free time. But when I did, it was blooming hard.
4. If you were going to study a new foreign language, which would you want to learn?
Oh that's tricky. Young person? It's definitely a foreign language by my age. It also must come from another country because a lot of the history they believe in is stuff that never happened where I grew up.
5. How are you at reading subtitles in foreign films?
Very good. Dubs and subs, every time. The fine grain difference between them tells you so much about the original script (when one says "I'm cross" and the other "I swear by god I shall avenge this" you know they are a bit more than miffed!)
