First, the Muddle and Go Somewhere, my external drive which contains all of my saved online and quite abit of offline life from LJ/DW to music to fandom to skating to studies to music to writing to... everything. Next, the computer/laptop to attach the Muddle to. Third, my Memorandum Book for when I am somewhere and need to write stuff down.
2. What are your three favorite items of clothing?
My winter dressing gown, it's a big fluffy blue one with pink flowers all over and at least ten years old. The huge mauve/white scarf and pull-on hat mum knitted me me on big needles, so soft and wonderful in winter. An elderly but unfaded (and I have no idea what artificial fabric it is to be so, and can't bring myself to care, I love it) shirt printed in abstract green and blue and pink which is maybe nothing special, but I always feel good wearing it.
3. What are your three favorite books?
Just three? {whimper} I can't say these are my absolute favourites - there are too many others - but three I have loved ever since I found them are The Past is a Foreign Country by David Lowenthal (still my top history book of all), The Code of the Woosters if I have to choose just one P G Wodehouse, and of course, the Alice books by Lewis Carroll, especially my treasured annotated copies:)
4. What are three things you'd grab if you had to evacuate your house quickly?
The Muddle, my handbag (with my wallet and Memorandum book always in it) and our parents' blue glass lions.
5. What are your three favorite songs or musical works?
Again, just three? {more whimpers} Okay, you saw what trouble I had with that list the other day, and do every year so... no, I can't choose favourites but three not on that list, and quite different from each other, that I am currently deeply in love with (and have been pretty much forever, to be honest) are Allegri's Miserere (all the versions, I have many), One Summer's Day from the Spirited Away soundtrack, and Heart of the Sunrise by 70s prog rock band Yes (I don't like all prog rock, but some just does it for me, especially Yes). Tomorrow they'd be a different three, though... and just as loved.
