1. Have you ever been to summer camp?

2. Have you ever made a s'more?

3. Have you ever slept under the stars (no tent/tarp)?

4. Have you ever had a member of the opposite sex sleep over at your house?

To answer #1, just day camp. But I was actually wondering if summer camp is as big of a thing as it's made out to be in movies etc.? I know they're around, but most of the ones I've heard of people actually going to were based around particular hobbies or organizations, as opposed to more random wilderness-based camps.

ETA: Just to be clear, I'm not criticizing the question at all. It actually gave me all that to think about! I'm curious for other people's responses.

Going camping (in tents or less often huts) with the Scouts / Guides used to be a relatively common childhood experience in the UK, and some schools went Youth Hostelling or to outdoor centres for loosely geography/biology field study trips. But we didn't have US style summer camps, and specialised summer schools for formal study were uncommon. We also had a lot of language student exchange trips with Europe usually organised by schools.
