1 Have you ever stayed in a hostel? If so, where? Did you like it? If you haven't stayed in a hostel, would you?
A couple of times long ago. The first one in Sydney was... okay for a hostel I guess (and for the young, which I was) but not great. The second time it was a revamped vintage place in a local town, a big rabbit warren of a hostel and I was there with a workmate doing an expenses paid but not very expensive trip; there were hardly any other customers midweek, and I do recall the ironwork beds with granny square spreads and the huge dining room where a whole four people were having breakfast. It's a fond memory, but I can't actually recall the name of the place (we did a lot of these trips) so have never been able to go back.

2 What is your favorite airport that you've been to? Why?
I do not much care for airports, but Singapore was good and the times we were there it was quiet and unstressed which is always a plus. It was before the major upgrades, so nothing fancy like it apparently is now... but I don't need fancy, I need easy-to-find-my-way around, quickly and efficiently in and out and if we are stuck there for a while, somewhere peaceful to fit and wait.

3 What is the best museum you have visited on vacation?
Every. Single. One. I adore museums, from the huge British and V&A in London, the not so huge but oh so me ones (the Australian Museum in Sydney which has my beloved megafauna displays, all of the Ironbridge ones, that Galerie de Paléontologie et d'Anatomie comparée in Paris with a million skeletons looking straight at you when you walk in, the DDR Museum in Dresden because it's social history folks, the York Castle Museum just... because) and all the small ones, local museums celebrating small events and forgotten people, small university museums, folk museums and textile museums and railway museums, fossil and mineral ones, doll and toy ones (Sis has had to drag me out more than once), and all sorts everywhere I go far and near. After all, most towns however small have something museumlike, and I am there for all of them. I have yet to set foot in a museum I didn't love and think the best while I was there...

4 Have you ever made friends while traveling whom you keep in touch with on a regular basis?
No, the way we travel - by ourselves on our own itinerary to often esoteric places - makes that less likely. I have travelled to meet with people met online who I am still friends with :)
