1. Do you have one spot in your house where you like to go and just dream? Pretty much anywhere, but the back verandah, overlooking the lawn and shrubs and banksia roses, is nice...

2. Do you had a special blanket that you like to cuddle up in? No, but I have a lovely fluffy, jaguar-print knee rug that a relative gave me. When winter comes, it's cuddly.

3. If you could have one room in your house refurnished, which one would it be? We are going to get the kitchen done, we are we are.... some time. It needs it. Vanilla-white cupboards, duck-egg blue walls, black marbly benches and black and white vinyl on the floor.

4. Did you have a good week? Okay, nothing special (except the heat) but nothing bad.

5. Do you have special plans for the weekend? I mentioned the heat... it's too much to do anything but just sloth out, read and relax.

Good luck getting the kitchen re-done. It sounds like you are ready.

I hope that the heat will break for you soon and will be able to enjoy a cooler fall. I'm certainly ready for Spring!

1. Do you have one spot in your house where you like to go and just dream?
My bedroom? I don't do a lot of just-being-quiet at home, but if I'm curling up with a book it's usually either in my bedroom or in my big red chair.

2. Do you had a special blanket that you like to cuddle up in?
I have a very practical blue-grey blanket with white and red stripes across the top, that I think I was given from my family's general blanket collection. I sometimes have it on my bed, on top of the duvet, and sometimes use it in the living room if it's very cold.

3. If you could have one room in your house refurnished, which one would it be?
I don't think I would? There are only three rooms in our flat with furniture in (I'm not including baths and kitchen units) and they pretty much have the furniture we need. I like my bed; I think D likes his; we like our sofa enough that we bought it from our old landlord, and I think we both love my big red chair that was a freecycle from a family friend.
The pew is very happy where it is.
When we have more room we could probably have more bookcases so less of them would be double-banked.
I am looking forward to having somewhere to put a dining table.

4. Did you have a good week?
Last week? I think so. *checks diary* Yes - it was fairly quiet except for work, but it was good.

5. Do you have special plans for the weekend?
Yes - I am going to the evening do of a wedding in North Yorkshire on Saturday and then zooming back to London first thing on Sunday morning.

I think we could all use a bit more floor space for book cases. Ours are so crowded, but there is literally not a bit of room for another case. Sigh.
