Date: 2018-06-15 01:10 pm (UTC)Not at the moment, but I have plans to make it better!
2. What could you do to improve it?
Eat better meals, snack/binge less, and be more active.
3. Are you tempted to eat every time you are hungry or do you wait for the next meal?
I've tempted to eat constantly; I can be full to the point of feeling sick and I'll still think "Some ice cream would be really good right now." I still do a pretty good job of waiting until my next meal/snack time though.
4. When are you most tempted to snack?
Constantly (see above)
5. Do you agree with the saying: "Eat your breakfast, share your lunch with a friend and give your dinner to your enemy" or do you think it matters?
I've never heard this saying before.

Date: 2018-06-16 08:44 pm (UTC)I have heard many different versions of it, but it makes sense to eat you biggest meal early in the day when you have the most chance of working it off and not having a ton of food before bed.
Thanks for participating!

Date: 2018-06-21 08:45 pm (UTC)At home, I just don't keep a lot of snacks and I try to just cook one meal's worth of food at a time. If I have food ready to microwave in the fridge or if I have snacks lying around, I will graze constantly.

Date: 2018-06-22 12:07 pm (UTC)My advice, don't buy junk food and keep it in the house or at your desk.

Date: 2018-06-16 09:23 pm (UTC)Yes, at least for the last 15 years. I exercise 5-6 days per week (have done that for more than 25 years,) I do not eat processed food, fast food, drink soda, smoke ( I quit more than 25 years ago,) or use any recreational drugs. I take some supplements, but try to eat a well balanced diet. I cook most everything I eat and know where my food comes from (farmers, even in most restaurants.) I also try not to stress too much (that is what I struggle with the most.)
2. What could you do to improve it?
Not eat out at all, cut down on alcohol; I don't drink most nights, but on the weekend I have been known to over-indulge.
3. Are you tempted to eat every time you are hungry or do you wait for the next meal?
For a long time I have included snacks in my daily routine; they are nutritious snacks for the most part.
4. When are you most tempted to snack?
I would more likely call it grazing and that happens when I am drinking and/or socializing.
5. Do you agree with the saying: "Eat your breakfast, share your lunch with a friend and give your dinner to your enemy" or do you think it matters?
I really do not think it matters too much, although I think most people need to eat breakfast (I think not eating kind of sends your body into starvation mode) and I try to finish eating at least 2 hours before bed (too much food on my stomach keeps from sleeping well.)

Date: 2018-06-18 11:09 am (UTC)I'm not militant, but I do prefer fresh (it's what I grew up with) and thankfully we live in a region of the US that produces most of what the country eats. Farmers market are year round, even nicer and we try to eat locally as much as possible.
Soda... well, I drank my share of it, then I realized that if I wanted to avoid diabetes (it runs in my family), that it was an easy way to cut sugar. Now I might have one or two a year. I prefer coffee before nine a.m. and then water the rest of the time.
Keep up the good work! :D

Date: 2018-06-19 10:41 am (UTC)Kind of. I mean I don't eat any meat or fish (but don't consider myself to be vegetarian) and I eat mostly healthy and am quite active in that I get out for a long walk everyday, living by the harbour helps because my neighbourhood is surrounded by coastline. I did used to go running twice a day six days a week when I was younger but weight issues (I became too thin for my height/ideal weight on the charts) and constant foot and knee injuries meant that I had to stop and I hate gyms.
2. What could you do to improve it?
Improving it would mostly involve cutting down on the crisps but that won't happen. Love my crisps far too much, to the point that I would live on them if I knew it wouldn't kill me. I'd maybe cut out diluted juice too, I already cut out fizzy juice with Irn Bru destroying itself (thanks to that horrid sugar tax) and that was the only fizzy juice that I actually liked.
3. Are you tempted to eat every time you are hungry or do you wait for the next meal?
No. I usually drink water (tap not bottled) as some hunger pangs are a sign of being thirsty for me.
4. When are you most tempted to snack?
During the week around 7pm or so because I'm usually a couple of hours after eating and getting a tad peckish by then. On a weekend it's a constant thing so I try to have some crisps in, usually those "share" size bags that are 90% air.
5. Do you agree with the saying: "Eat your breakfast, share your lunch with a friend and give your dinner to your enemy" or do you think it matters?
Never heard the saying. I try to eat breakfast most days unless I wake up feeling a tad ugh then I'll just have tea but when I do eat it it's usually toast or Rice Krispies, I rarely have lunch but when I do it's usually a sandwich or a hot meal if I'm out with friends. Dinner is the most important meal for me because I'm usually out all day and really hungry when I get home.
