1) What act of kindness have you witnessed (or done yourself) recently? Someone just sent me a bunch of ebooks (public domain, but a rare author I remember reading years ago, so am looking forward to getting reacquainted).

2) What is your favorite memory? Climbing to the top of Corfe Castle on my trip to the UK. There have been bigger, bolder and more impressive things (though, being me, not that many :) and more important moments (being me, enough to go on with) but that... just does it for me.

It was pure, uncomplicated happiness.

Even though my camera had run out of battery half-way up and I couldn't take pictures, damn it...

3) What activity always seems to energize you? Writing. Even blithery, free scribbling does it.

4) Did you do something recently that made you laugh at yourself? What was it? Oh yeah (story of my life), a couple of days ago I spent an hour searching for some important papers so I could put them in my usual important papers place before I forgot. Only - after said hour - to check my said place and yep, there they already were.

Hey, I'm the daughter of a man who once put the teapot in the fridge and a woman who more than once searched for ages for the glasses that were perched on top of her head. I'm not worried about losing my memory - I have learned to do without it my whole life.

5) What is your favorite inspirational quote? The bolded part of this from Mark Twain has been it for years...

I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened. Worrying is like paying a debt you don't owe. I have spent most of my life worrying about things that have never happened. Drag your thoughts away from your troubles... by the ears, by the heels, or any other way you can manage it.

1) What act of kindness have you witnessed (or done yourself) recently? It feels like it's the opposite of humble to talk of an act of kindness that I did, but it's what comes to mind. On Christmas Eve, I had to go to the humane society to pick up a couple of foster cats. It was pouring down rain and cold and gross. As I was leaving, there was a man walking in the rain and I waved at him just to be polite but he started talking to me and said he was trying to get to Walmart to meet up with someone for a job. From there to Walmart is about 20 miles. So I offered him a ride. Which actually doesn't feel like a big deal, so idk. But I haven't been many places to be able to witness any acts of anything, lol.

2) What is your favorite memory? Favorite memory altogether? That's difficult, idek. I've got a lot of great memories that I can call up, I'm not sure if I have one that's more favored over the rest.

3) What activity always seems to energize you? Exercise? Lol. I always have trouble getting motivated to walk or hit the treadmill (or go to zumba, in the Before Times), but once I do it, I feel fantastic and have so much energy.

4) Did you do something recently that made you laugh at yourself? What was it? I laugh at myself all the time. I'm an idiot and do lots of laugh-at-able things!

5) What is your favorite inspirational quote? I should have a good answer for this, but I don't. So I'll go with this, from my all time favorite song (Soulshine by the Allman brothers): "You gotta let your soul shine!"

Maybe it was meant to be that your camera ran out of battery; who knows how taking time to find the best pictures would have affected your memories of that moment!

I love writing, I need to do it more. I said exercise for that question, but writing and exercise are both things for me that I have a hard time getting to but love doing and feel great afterward.
