Date: 2021-01-09 04:48 am (UTC)1) What act of kindness have you witnessed (or done yourself) recently? Someone just sent me a bunch of ebooks (public domain, but a rare author I remember reading years ago, so am looking forward to getting reacquainted).
2) What is your favorite memory? Climbing to the top of Corfe Castle on my trip to the UK. There have been bigger, bolder and more impressive things (though, being me, not that many :) and more important moments (being me, enough to go on with) but that... just does it for me.
It was pure, uncomplicated happiness.
Even though my camera had run out of battery half-way up and I couldn't take pictures, damn it...
3) What activity always seems to energize you? Writing. Even blithery, free scribbling does it.
4) Did you do something recently that made you laugh at yourself? What was it? Oh yeah (story of my life), a couple of days ago I spent an hour searching for some important papers so I could put them in my usual important papers place before I forgot. Only - after said hour - to check my said place and yep, there they already were.
Hey, I'm the daughter of a man who once put the teapot in the fridge and a woman who more than once searched for ages for the glasses that were perched on top of her head. I'm not worried about losing my memory - I have learned to do without it my whole life.
5) What is your favorite inspirational quote? The bolded part of this from Mark Twain has been it for years...

Date: 2021-01-13 03:02 am (UTC)I love writing, I need to do it more. I said exercise for that question, but writing and exercise are both things for me that I have a hard time getting to but love doing and feel great afterward.
