It's a seemingly never ending task - grocery shopping.
1. Do you make up a dinner plan for the coming week?
2. Do you make up a shopping list and stick to it when shopping?
3. What is one thing that you always buy, but never put down on a list?
4. Is there anything that you always think you are out of and come home with it to discover you already have a year’s supply on hand?
5. Do you get your groceries delivered?

If you'd like to suggest questions for a future Friday Five, then do so on DW or LJ. Old sets that were used have been deleted, so please feel free to suggest some more!
**Remember that we rely on you, our members, to help keep the community going. Also, please remember to play nice. We are all here to answer the questions and have fun each week. We repost the questions exactly as the original posters submitted them and request that all questions be checked for spelling and grammatical errors before they're submitted. Comments re: the spelling and grammatical nature of the questions are not necessary. Honestly, any hostile, rude, petty, or unnecessary comments need not be posted, either.**

Date: 2019-02-16 05:51 pm (UTC)Yes; I have been doing that for about 20 years. When both my husband and I had long commutes to demanding jobs, it helped us cook on the weekend for the coming week's lunches and dinners. Now, it just lets me organize and try new recipes, plus make sure I am using pantry items and extra veggies.
2. Do you make up a shopping list and stick to it when shopping?
Yes, see above.
3. What is one thing that you always buy, but never put down on a list?
Nothing really. I make my own desserts (and plan that as well,) so the ingredients need to be on the list.
4. Is there anything that you always think you are out of and come home with it to discover you already have a year’s supply on hand?
Not often. Some years ago, I somehow collected three boxes of corn starch (it took a while to get through that,) but that is all I can recall.
5. Do you get your groceries delivered?
No. When we lived in a big city and it first started, we tried it, but were not huge fans. It has just become available here now, but I get most of my produce from farmers and am picky about meat and seafood, so...

Date: 2019-02-17 11:43 am (UTC)We get a lot of our produce at the farmer's market, except for some of the tropical fruit (and I have a feeling it's just a matter of time for that). It's nice to have fresh. Hey, garbage in, garbage out. I figure if you want to stay healthy, you need to eat that way.
