1) What's the best customer service experience you've ever had?

Well, a best customer service story with a good memory to it was my brother's second wish trip to Florida in 1991. They had given us upgrade tickets for the flight, though we didn't realize it. It wasn't until Mum was getting us settled in coach that the flight attendant came up and said, "Mrs. Parkins, you're in the wrong seat. Your family is supposed to be in first class!" Mum thought they were joking and that we were on the old TV show, "Candid Camera." LOL It was a great surprise and fun experience to fly first class!

2) What's a very reliable item that you own?

Hmm. Overall, the boiler in this house. It's 69 years old and still chugging with only some minor work over the years!

3) What's something that wore out, but you replaced it with the same thing?

Lightbulbs. :p And my coffee machine.

4) Have you ever left an online review of something you bought?

I rarely do! The only time I have in recent memory was to leave a positive review for the new blend of coffee from Grounds & Hounds.

5) What's a book you've read more than once?

Oh gosh, several. But, my go-to in these surveys is to say The Time Traveler's Wife.

1) What's the best customer service experience you've ever had?

In 1995 I lived in a house with some other computer geeks -- all PC folks, with me being the one Mac user. I had just bought my first *new* computer, a Power Mac 7100. The othere folks in the house set up an ethernet network, more to learn how to set one up and configure it than for any real need for a network. I wanted in; my new Mac had an ethernet port! But when I ran the cable to my room, the computer wasn't recognizing that it was connected. Apple Computer sent a tech *to my home* and he tinkered and tested, then said the motherboard needed replacing. Came back the next day and did that and now it worked. All this under warranty, so no charge. Lest this sound like an ad for Apple, I could nominate some other experiences with them for *worst* customer support, but on this occasion I give credit where it's due.

2) What's a very reliable item that you own?

I have a Westclox travel alarm from the 1990s that I use as my bedside table alarm clock. About once a decade I have to replace the hearing-aid style battery that powers it.

3) What's something that wore out, but you replaced it with the same thing?

I do that with my laptops as a matter of course. When I buy a new laptop, I buy an identical pair, and if something fails I just switch the hard drive and go on as if nothing had happened. Then I buy a used one of the same model online. The current latest & greatest is a 2011 model, so I'm using 10 year old computers (none of which, at this point, is one of the two originals).

4) Have you ever left an online review of something you bought?

Yes, a few times, both good and bad.

5) What's a book you've read more than once?

I've read all the books in the Diana Gabaldon OUTLANDER series more than once.
